Flipping Fuses
It's not easy bein' green.

Friends, welcome to the end of March. Fond wishes that spring is springing just how you like, wherever you are … except in the southern hemisphere, I guess. Fall is springing there, or spring is falling?
For those who've gotten medical clearance to receive an additional dose of our nonsense, we're pleased to say that our first collaborative cryptic with our longtime editor juff is also out today, in their puzzle magazine The Gnomon. Flipping Fuses is a mere 9×9 — though not the cakewalk that might imply, despite our best efforts — but the Gnomon puzzle, titled 7×7×7, is the maximalist endeavor its name suggests. Fortuitously, that puzzle is edited by Bob Weisz, who c0-edited us previously with Very Striking Finale; Bob's a gifted setter whose name you should probably expect to see in conjunction with ours again.
From the heart, thanks to solvers Andy Stilp, Dave Sanderman, John Sams, and editor juff. Fair warning: We've published the online puzzle on our usual platform squares.io, but because there are three sets of clues, the amount of screen real estate per set is pretty small. Frankly, solvers may want to experiment with downloading the .ipuz and trying, for instance, the Crossword Nexus and Crossweird solvers.
