Today's puzzle is HDMI*-compatible. (*Handleable despite missing instructions.)

We’ve been asked whether these instruction-free puzzles are meant to fluster solvers. Our hopes are that it’s the opposite, and we say as much in today’s other post. (Absolute spoiler warning for our last two subscriber puzzles, High Stakes and High Roller.) We’ve been sparing with our sausage-making posts, so hopefully you won’t judge that 1,000-word exegesis as the wurst.

Today is another instructions-light puzzle, but one that we've heard is a jolly time from test solvers; thanks to Andy Stilp, John Sams, and editor Andy Yingst. Andy’s new cryptic magazine The Gnomon launches fr fr on June 1, which we of course recommend to those who enjoy our puzzles, and completists should know we’re angling to make a puzzle worthy of The Gnomon at some point this year.
