High Roller

Step right up.

Friends — and honestly, if you're back for more after the last couple of puzzles, you must like us and thus we like you — we have probably never come up with a puzzle that had more test-solvable permutations than this one. The longest instructions came out to around 75 words, and the puzzles as they were presented for solving had, at various points, clue numbers, no clue numbers, grid bars, no grid bars, enumerations, no enumerations, the revealer spelled out, the revealer hidden, [redacted] and no [redacted]. Thanks to our test solvers Andy Stilp, skaldskaparmal, Probably Apocryphal, Erica Klarreich, Jutta Degener, and John Sams, and especially our editor Andy Yingst for hanging tough with us because we think this one turned out — after much harrowing — fun.

Also, today is our third clue contribution for Minute Cryptic! We're happy to rack and frack impressionable solvers one clue at a time, and thanks to Liam and Angas for letting us play in their pool. If you're finding us from Minute Cryptic, we've got starter cryptics as well as an orientation post to give you the lay of the land.
