We wouldn’t be anywhere in cryptics without the Web — first on the New York Times Crossword Forums in the early ’00s, and now in all kinds of Web 2.0 communities, but especially Discord and Twitch. Because that’s how our solvers know us, we’ll proceed by those handles here as well — dadgumituh and jmsr525. (But IRL we’re Sean and JM, respectively and usually respectfully.)
As American cryptic solvers through and through, you will see us engage with cryptic crosswords with a high degree of comportment to American fair play standards. Not that we won’t break a rule for a good clue now and then, but expect fairness most often — hopefully making it all the more fun when we throw you for a loop.
